PLANNING COMMISSION

 

Notice is hereby given that the Dalton Township Planning Commission will hold public hearings on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Dalton Township Hall at 1616 E Riley Thompson Rd in consideration of the following items:

  • Application for a Special Land Use permit at 898 W. McMillan Rd for a banquet hall and hotel.
  • Application for a Special Land Use permit at 3096 Pillon Rd for a group child care home.
  • Application to amend the existing Special Land Use permit at 390 E Tyler Rd to add a pavilion, basketball court and privacy fence to the existing campground.
  • Adoption of Ordinance 2023-08 pertaining to Temporary Special Use Permits, Special Events Venues, and Enforcement Process.

The application materials and proposed ordinance are available for review at the Dalton Township Hall, 1616 E. Riley Thompson Rd during the hours of 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, or by calling (231) 332-6706. Any interested person may attend the public hearing and may offer comments to the planning commission. Written comments may also be sent to the above address or via email to: zoningadministrator@daltontownship.org. Written comments should be received no later than May 26, 2023.

The Township of Dalton will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services at the meeting to individuals with disabilities upon 72 hours advanced notice to the Township.
